Day 1 of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari & Hiking Safari: Wake up early in the morning of your Uganda tour to Mountain Rwenzori National Park and have an early morning breakfast to give you energy for the magnificent day ahead of you on this 5 days Uganda hiking tour to Mountain Rwenzori. Day 1 of this safari in Uganda, kicks off with a transfer to Kasese via the Kampala Fort Portal- Kasese road and this takes on a 6-7 hour short Uganda wildlife tour journey to get to Kasese. Day 2 of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari & Hiking Safari: Have an early morning breakfast at the hotel then transfer to Nyakalengijja where this nature walk begins from. Hike to the park headquarters that is perched at 1700m above sea level and this gives you an opportunity to see the locals go about their daily routines such as gardening, fetching water and firewood. From the park centre, hike up to the Nyabitaba hut which is found at an altitude of 2652m above sea level. As you hike to the Nyabitaba hut, you have a chance to see the tropical forests of the Rwenzori as well as the bamboo forests as you hike further. As you get close to Nyabitaba hut, the hike gets more demanding as the trail starts ascending faster and passing through rocks. The trek to Nyabitaba lasts between 4-5 hours or about 8km. After the lunch break, you get extend you Uganda safari explorations of the Rwenzori slopes with a short visit to beautiful lake Mahoma which is located near this hut. Dinner and an overnight stay are done at this hut.
Day3 of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari & Hiking Safari: Wake up in the morning and listen to the birds as they sing to the new day and when there is clear visibility, you will be in for a spectacular sunrise which gives a warm morning glow in this tropical paradise. After breakfast start your descent back to Nyakalengija and on arrival, you have a road drive to Kasese town for a warm and heavy lunch to enable you to regain back your strength. After this lunch, begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth Park and this is a short journey that only lasts about 1 hour’s drive to get there. On reaching here have an evening game drive. On arrival to queen Elizabeth, enjoy an evening game drive which gives you an opportunity to see several of the wild mammals which are found here.
Day 4 of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari & Hiking Safari This day kicks off with a satisfying breakfast of a steamy cup of Ugandan coffee served with an array of crunchy bites after which you embark on an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector watch out for the big cats such as the lions. Other wild game to look out for during this safari to Uganda include the African bush elephants as they move around the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, cape buffaloes and many antelopes as you carry out this game drive, don’t forget to take lots of photos to be a constant reminder of your voyage to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After this truly rewarding game drive, return to the lodge for lunch. Transfer to the Mweya jetty for a spectacular boat cruise over the Kazinga channel. Hop onto the boat and go to the top deck seats so that you have a 360-degree view of this tropical savanna paradise as you watch most of the inhabitants of the Kazinga channel like the magnificent and prehistoric Nile crocodiles. Other dwellers of the Kazinga channel that you won’t definitely miss are the numerous schools of hippos and a myriad of waterbird species that stalk the Kazinga channel waters for an evening meal. If you have an issue with heights, just take the seat on the lower deck and you will be guaranteed of a close encounter with these dwellers of the Kazinga channel.
Day 5 of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari & Hiking Safari: This is a relaxed day as you get to wake up a little bit late at 08: 00hrs for breakfast. After heavy morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and begin your last safari Uganda activity which is an exciting Uganda cultural safari experience. Transfer to one of the numerous local communities that are found at the peripherals of the park. On arrival here, you will receive an emphatic welcome that comes with sounding music of African traditional songs and cultural dances and when the rhythm gets to your inner core, feel free to join the dancers and groove to this African rhythm. You will be given lessons by African craft masters on how to craft some of the traditional art and craft items on display like weaving baskets and also listen to the ever-present challenges they face as they share space with these great untamed beasts that are found here.
